Make a wish and place it in your heart. Anything you want, everything you want. Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true. You never know where the next miracle is gonna come from, the next smile, the next wish come true. But if you believe that it’s right around the corner and you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it, to the certainty of it, you just might get the thing you’re wishing for. The world is full of magic, you just have to believe in it. So make your wish. Do you have it? Good. Now believe in it… with all your heart.
“You know, I’ve got this theory: There are two kinds of people in the world. There are lyric people and music people. You know, the lyrics people tend to be analytical. You know, all about the meaning of the song. They’re the ones you see with the CD insert out like five minutes after buying it, pouring over the lyrics, interpreting the hell out of everything. Then there’s the music people who could care less for the lyrics as long as it’s just got, like, a good beat and you could dance to it. I don’t know, sometimes it might be easier to be a music girl and not a lyric girl. But since I’m not, let me just say this: Sometimes things find you when you need them to find you. I believe that. And for me, it’s usually song lyrics.”—
One Tree Hill
(& this is my absolute favourite quote of all time ever.)
Certainty is the best sanity one can have. For the rest of it, you wont have to care anymore. You just want an answer. No pseudo romances or compounded half-truths.
You just want a simple yes or no. After that, the world’s black and white and you see less but at the same time more. You see me, I see you. The world is simple in that moment of truth. The universe stops to see you smile just because, now you know the answer to whatever question that has been bothering you for the longest while.
I want an answer straight-up, on the rocks, hold the kahlua, tequila, and gin. The truth on the rocks, please. The truth, shaken not stirred. The truth, and make that asap. I am at the bar waiting for you to serve me up.
